A University of Michigan Museum of Art Wedding
Geoff & Grant’s stately Museum of Art wedding took place right before Valentine’s Day. The actual ceremony happened the following morning, so they spent their day having fun with family and friends! Their photographer captured some shots of the two of them prior to guest arrival inside the Museum. Afterwards, the couple greeted guests during cocktail hour in the Forum, and then led them into the Apse for a lavish dinner.
Decor and food were top of the list for Geoff & Grant, and we spent several meetings getting everything just right. The good thing about a Museum of Art wedding is that you get to bring in exactly what you like – but without guidance that can be a very confusing piece of the puzzle! They ended up with a tasting menu paired with wine or beer (guests were given a choice). The layout was one of my favorites; a U-shaped family style table to promote intimacy and unity.
Their point of view:
Ana and the TwoFoot staff were the best decision we made in our wedding planning. She knew all of the contacts and gently guided us through the year-long wedding planning process. She turned our wedding vision into a reality that we never imagined was possible. The planning and organizational services that she provides are worth every cent!! We chose Ana because every venue and vendor we talked to said that she was the best person to work with – that speaks volumes to us! We cannot recommend her highly enough!!!Geoff & Grant
Grant & Geoff wanted a clear divide between the elegant dinner party and the reception portion of the evening. They also wanted liquor available to guests. The solution was, once dessert concluded, to invite guests across the street to the Michigan Union for an after party! It was an absolute blast. The dance floor was packed, the photographer set up a photo booth, and more food was out just in case anyone left dinner hungry!
